Production of High Purity Isobutene by MTBE Catalytic Cracking development cooperates with Fushun Institue
As an important basic organic chemical raw material, high purity isobutene is widely used in the fine chemistry industry such as synthetic rubber, pesticide intermediates and oil additives. China Petroleum Chemical Co of Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute, hereinafter referred to as the Fushun school, and Shanghai Lanke Petrochemical Co., Ltd, hereinafter referred to as Lanke develop the strategic cooperation relationship in the technology research and package development to meet the needs of market. Supported by the original technology, project and production experience in the production of isobutylene device, technology and process package of production of high purity isobutene by MTBE were exploited, scale of which covers from 50,000 tons / year to 200,000 tons/ year. Combined with Fushun Institute MTBE catalytic cracking technology and catalytic and the running experience of exciting devices, the package and the technology can isolate high purity isobutene and methanol by MTBE catalytic cracking. High purity isobutene can be used for the synthesis of butyl rubber, preparation of antioxidant and MMA, while methanol can be used as raw materials for etherification reaction.
Key Technical Parameters
1 Feed volume space velocity of MTBE: 2.5~4.0 h-1
2 Catalyst life: 1.5 years;
3 Conversion rate of MTBE:>99.5%;
4 Isobutene selectivity : > 99.5%;
5 Methanol selectivity : > 99.5%.
Technical Characteristics:
1 Higher conversion rate of MTBE decreases the influence of unreacted MTBE to subsequent separation and assures the consumption less than 1.65tons/ ton of MTBE to isobutene.
2 Higher selectivity of isobutene reduces the formation of biopolymer, especially in the later stage of reaction, inhibits coking of the catalystand prolongs the service life of the catalyst.
3 Higher selectivity of methanol improves the yield, reduces the production of dimethyl ether, decreases isobutene losses caused by separation of dimethyl ether and ensures the index requirement of product isobutene to dimethyl ether.
4 Higher activity and less dosage of the catalyst reduce the size of reactor, tube length of which shorten from the traditional 5m to 3 m.
5 Without requirements of activation before the start and passivation and decoking before unloading, use of the catalyst is convenient. With small amount of catalysts, both the length and quantity of the crack reactor tube are correspondingly reduced, as well as slows down the catalyst coking, declining the difficulty of catalyst loading and updating.
